About Elevation Goaltending Academy
Elevation Goaltending Academy (EGA) officially began in 2018 in Raleigh, North Carolina (NC) by Coach Michael Lee. His goal became to provide goaltenders with the absolute best training and development available through a variety of formats while leveraging the latest technology.
EGA provides training and development for goalies of all ages. Offering one-on-one lessons, small group training, clinics, specialized programs and online remote sessions. With video and game video analysis as well as a multi-day camps to be offered in the near future.
Michael Lee
Lead Goaltending Instructor - EGA
Michael grew up just outside of Buffalo, NY; who played high-level travel hockey from squirt to Junior B & Prep High School before advancing to play Junior A in Ontario, Canada.
Currently, Michael resides in Raleigh, NC; is the Lead Goaltending Instructor of EGA, USA Certified Goaltending Instructor, Head Goalie Coach of the NC Force Organization, NC Golden Bears Junior Program. He is also a lead instructor for Specialized Hockey Development program and the Goalie Coach for the 2019-2020 Jr Hurricanes 10U AA team.
With an education and professional background in I.T. (Software, Network Engineering and Automation) and a leader for a fortune 200 IT company, Michael blends his extensive hockey knowledge and background with his engineering mindset and leadership experience professionally to bring a unique and effective goaltending development.
Daren Puppa
Sr. Lead Goaltending Advisor - EGA
Daren grew up in Kirkland Lake, ON; who played high-level travel hockey from squirt to midget before advancing to play NCAA Div 1 with RPI before embarking on a 15 year career in the NHL. Daren is a 3-time NHL All-Star and 2-Time Vezina Trophy runner up who was recently rated as one of the 100 best NHL goaltenders of all-time by Hockey News.
Currently, Daren resides in Tampa, FL working in the real estate industry and is the Sr Lead Goaltending Adviser for EGA.
